Perched high above the city—on the 16th floor of the K8 building—Seid offers sweeping views of Stavanger and the fjord. But it’s not just the view that makes this place special. Inspired by ancient Norse “seid” magic, the restaurant brings together flame, folklore, and raw ingredients in a setting that feels both grounded and otherworldly.

Working at Seid means stepping right into the heart of it all—literally. Our open charcoal and wood grill is the centerpiece of the restaurant, where meat, seafood, and vegetables are cooked live, in front of our guests, over open flames.

We combine craftsmanship with atmosphere, storytelling with precision. The vibe is relaxed but full of pulse—especially in the evenings and weekends, when the lounge music turns up and the energy rises.

Cooks

Do you have a passion for high-quality ingredients, open kitchens, and true craftsmanship? We're seeking cooks who want to elevate the kitchens at ilo and Seid—two different concepts, one shared ambition. Opened in February 2024, ilo is the newest addition to Stavanger’s city center—right on the ground floor of the K8 building. It's a space where urban energy meets a laid-back vibe. From your first barista coffee in the morning to lunch with friends or a cozy Friday night dinner, ilo is all about good food, good company, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Our kitchen draws inspiration from everywhere—but our ingredients come from close to home. Rooted in Rogaland’s rich produce, our dishes are seasonal, soulful, and full of character. That means you get to work with real ingredients, real craftsmanship, and real pride. From flavorful lunches to à-la-carte plates and three-course dinners, the menu is varied—but always made with care.
